Three councils, five postcodes, one set of figures. The round begins in TW8 and reaches west along the London Road into TW7, east over Kew Bridge Road into W4, south across the bridge into TW9, and north over the Great West Road and the canal into W7 and W5. A bedroom carpet is £36 in a canalside flat at Brentford Lock, in a Victorian terrace off Clifden Road, in an interwar semi near Osterley Park and in a house by Kew Gardens. Six areas and a page apiece.
Where the round goes, and what each area books
| Area | Postcode | Council | Most of the work there |
|---|---|---|---|
| Isleworth | TW7 | Hounslow | Riverside village houses, London Road lets, handovers, wool carpets |
| Chiswick | W4 | Hounslow | Through lounges, ovens booked early, flats near the bridge |
| Kew | TW9 | Richmond upon Thames | Carpet over old boards, double ovens, spring team cleans |
| Osterley | TW7 | Hounslow | Weekly housework, driveways, ranges and AGAs, whole house handovers |
| Hanwell | W7 | Ealing | Ovens, canal side damp, early starts, banded move out cleans |
| Ealing | W5 | Ealing | Team deep cleans, agent handbacks, carpets on grouped days |
Two of the six answer to a different town hall
Kew belongs to Richmond upon Thames. Hanwell and Ealing belong to the London Borough of Ealing. Brentford, Isleworth, Chiswick and Osterley are Hounslow with us. Worth knowing if you are ever chasing somebody about a permit, a bin or a licence, because the three run their rules separately and the boundaries are not where most people assume. It changes nothing at all on our side.
The Great West Road splits the round in half
The dual carriageway, with the raised M4 running above it, cuts the district north from south. Two ways across function. Boston Manor Road heads up towards the canal and Hanwell; Syon Lane heads up towards Osterley. Both back up from about half seven to nine and again at teatime, which is why a job on the far side of that line lands mid morning rather than at eight. Your street gets looked at the day before rather than on the day.
Getting about without a van
Three stations sit inside this one postcode. Brentford, Kew Bridge and Syon Lane all run on the South Western Railway Hounslow Loop in zone 4, reaching Waterloo by way of either Richmond or Hounslow. Boston Manor and Northfields on the Piccadilly line take the northern half and carry on into Ealing. Buses 235, 237, 267, 635, E2 and E8 work the High Street and Great West Road corridors, while the 65 crosses Kew Bridge. Cleaners on the regular round travel in on that network, so a road with a bus on it is easier to reach early than one without.
Access is the Brentford part of the job
Three things decide how a morning runs here, and cleaning is not one of them. The managed blocks on the Great West Road and the canal want a loading bay slot and a goods lift window booked with the concierge in advance. The canalside terraces at Brentford Lock are reached from the towpath, so kit travels along the water. And on a home fixture at the Gtech, the roads around Lionel Road and Kew Bridge close for about three hours, so the fixture list gets checked against a postcode before anything is confirmed. Give us a block name or a road name and all three are sorted at our end.
The water is the same everywhere on the round
Very hard, from Kew Bridge to Northfields. Elements fur up. Screens go milky. A mixer tap loses its shine long before it loses its washer, and a rim line appears in the loo that no cloth is going to touch. You will not find descaling itemised on an invoice from us, because it is simply part of doing the job here. It is also why a handover clean carries extra minutes for a bathroom left alone since the last tenants, and why the extraction rinse is softened first.
If your road is not on the list
Read those six as a sketch of where the van goes rather than a boundary on a map. Work reaches us from Syon, Gunnersbury, South Ealing, North Acton and the Richmond side, and nothing gets turned away for sitting off the list. Ring 020 8077 4255 with a road name and you get the answer during the call. One thing worth raising: if a neighbour wants work the same morning, mention it. The van stands once, both of you wait less, and the £67 floor is met a single time. Figures are on the prices page and the jobs themselves on the services page.
Questions we get asked
Do prices change in the outer areas?
No. A bedroom carpet is £36 in Isleworth and £36 again in Ealing, and moving between TW8, TW7, W4, TW9, W7 and W5 changes neither the figure nor the wait.
My road is not listed. Will you come?
Nearly always. Those pages sketch where the van goes rather than draw a line. Work reaches us from Syon, Gunnersbury, South Ealing and the Richmond side. Ring 020 8077 4255, give a road name, and you will know inside the call.
Which council covers which part of the round?
Hounslow takes Brentford, Isleworth, Chiswick and Osterley. Kew sits in Richmond upon Thames. Hanwell and Ealing sit in the London Borough of Ealing. It matters for permits and waste rather than for anything on our invoice.
Which areas can you reach quickest?
Chiswick and Isleworth, both minutes away on our own side of the Great West Road. Osterley and Hanwell depend on how badly Syon Lane and Boston Manor Road are queuing, so mid morning is a safer bet there than eight o’clock.
